Despite the efforts of the current administration to turn the RAFM in to an entry free fun day out for all the family, it would appear that they are nowhere yet near success in that objective, at least according to a recent Daily Telegraph survey of the leading 23 London family day out attractions.See:

Perhaps for those who go to museums to quietly study and learn ( rather than to be "entertained") there is a back-handed positive aspect to this situation- for the time being at least .
