I've got the right choice deluxe travel insurance, and I've searched intracx and googled AIA and can't find any reference to the excess and liability coverage you both mention. (in fact I can't find a reference to any carhire insurance at all). Where did you find those figures?

PS - I use insurance4carhire in the UK for worldwide excess coverage, have been using them for years, claimed many times and always got my money back. But you need a UK address. I gave them my mother in laws. No worries.
