They may or may not give advice about it but the trouble is - your first leg flight has to be on time or you are screwed.We wanted to fly Edi - Rome last year,the only direct service was Ryanair,they were having problems actually being able to operate routes at the time due to staffing probs.So we decided not to risk flying with them - we had to go EDI/ BRS/FCO,I think our transfer time was about 2 hours and luckily we made it comfortably as our first A/C landed on time (but it is always a calculated risk).
Because of our holiday itinerary we flew back direct VCE - EDI which was much more relaxing LOL
