EasyJet took delivery of its first CFM56-5B-powered
A319. It is the first aircraft from a
120-unit order that the budget carrier placed at the end of last year (ATWOnline, Oct. 15). EasyJet will receive five A319s this year, all of which will be based with subsidiary easyJet Switzerland in Geneva. The remaining aircraft will be delivered by the end of 2007.
