WWW: I've no wish to divert this thread fro the late Sir Peter, but John Rochfort and I became quite good friends through basic training at South Cerney. He went off to pilot training and, I think, initially to Lightnings, whilst I went to Nav school. Our paths never crossed in 30+ years after that, but I venture to say that's not John in that photo. The chap is in some distress and, having also gone down the Google route, I'd say he's Flt Lt Jeff Glover after being shot down by a Blowpipe missile. That looks like an inverted single-seat liferaft lying behind him in that boat.
