It is singularly impressive that the Times Obituary writer took the trouble to not only read the Falkland War Diaries but listen to the extensive IVM audio files entitled "Squire, Peter (Oral History)", which were flagged-up on this thread along with the behaviour of the Hermes Captain when playing host to the Royal Air Force Squadron.
It is was also good of the Times to name and pay tribute to all the other members of the Squadron flying from the Hermes on operational sorties over the Falkland Islands.
