Flying around the middle east, I've noticed a few airlines (mostly pilots from India - I do not want to point out airlines but people who fly in this region would know exactly who I am referring to) use the 121.5 to transmit anything from flight plans to communicating with company aircraft

No concept of having a company frequency for intercompany communication? Just curious.
