Caveat, rumor has it that Boeing wants a geared turbofan. P&W anyone?
I suspect Pratt would only get in if GE said they weren't interested - Boeing and GE are pretty much tied at the hip these days.
That being said, we're probably looking at an engine in the 40k-45k range (which is a big hole right now - the newest being the PW2000 launched nearly 40 years ago). 40k or so wouldn't be a big stretch from the GTF on the A320 NEO (unlike their GTF proposal for the 777X - someone at GE calculate the size of the oil cooler they would need for a 100k GTF engine
). If they can get their current GTF sorted, it might happen...
