When did you do that? Pretty much everyone these days needs proof of ability to stay beyond 90 days (ie not on the visa waiver program).
Same same for getting a drivers license, buying a glock or AR15 (to fit in with everyone else you know) etc etc
About 2 years ago, in Wichita. Maybe things have changed since.
