I looked at applying to BA. I too live in Australia and after reading the basic salary, it would hardly be worth it moving to the UK, then plus the cost of living over thre compared to Australia. Short Haul crew in Australia for the countries biggest domestic and long haul airline earn roughly 15,000 to 20,000 pounds a year, which is why it is so hard to get a job with them! This is why there are so many Australians working for airlines like Emirates and Gulf Air. Does anyone know what Virgin Atlantic are like to work for?
