Herod, IIRC SA came in 69, the redundancy was about 72. For aircrew it was aimed at some types and higher ranks. Remember one flt Lt finally going places promoted straight in to the redundancy bracket. Oh cruel fate.

Then the wholesale slaughter of Ascot crews.
