I don't think we're answering BEagle's original enquiry. He wanted to know who had chosen a PMD because they were unable to obtain a LAPL medical.

I have one such person. They obtained a NPPL with PMD and as they want to fly EASA aircraft after 8th APril, they need a LAPL and LAPL medical, which they have been struggling to obtain. It looks like it MIGHT be possible, but at a potential cost of around £1,000 pa for cardiovascular investigations.
