The cost of schooling is prohibitive for expat pilots. A decent school, that is based on your home countries standards will cost you hundreds of thousands of hkg $ to even get you children a place, never mind the ongoing costs (and no, CX does not cover the additional costs, which are considerable). No expat that I know would even consider placing their children in a 'local' school, for all the unsaid reasons.
