Is it not also an obvious point that if BACF were not at London City, another operator - CityJet or even one that doesn't exist today - would be filling the gap at LCY and cannibalising BA's LHR traffic without any benefit to BA/IAG's bottom line? If they didn't do it themselves, someone else undoubtedly would.
