All piers will have stands for large aircraft, (Manchester has a lot of these types now!) but only Pier 3 has A380 stands. Pier 1 has 4 x Code E stands with airbridges and a further 2 just off the end which are remotes. The official publicity images have had a job keeping up with the design changes but there should be something reasonably current on the MAN-TP website now. You will still see well out of date images in the uncontrolled media, including the early 'glittering palace' concept shots produced by the consultants back in 2014. Detailed design is not yet done on Pier 3 but it will almost certainly be a little larger than Pier 1, which is 225 x 24 metres, on 3 levels.
