Just to be awkward, I
have gone around in a glider - trying to land on a ridge site (the Long Mynd) in lift so strong that we were doing bungee (elastic band) launches.
I doubt that I'm the only one who's done it in the same conditions (but it was only the once in 3000 or so landings!)
