RYR update today!
According to DN.no RYR has updated the expectation of only receiving 10 Max aircraft summer of 2020.
They also adjusted growth figures expected from 157mill to 156 mill pax.
And more importantly they are closing Nuremberg base and old Skavstad (NYO, almost Stockholm)
Tragic for the based crew.
A hint for any experienced FOs hoping for a quick upgrade, I figure.
Hope I am wrong, but the way I see it few bases are safe.
Good luck to You all.
Sincerely
Cpt B

If I say I am sorry for some bad posting a few months ago, and promise to be a bit more kind in my postings and a bit more to the point without rants, could You consider lifting my Post restrictions?
Sorry!

Your recent understandings are evidently misplaced/ill informed. Jet2 have promoted from within where they can, every suitable FO has been encouraged to throw their name in the hat when THEY feel ready. They are then guided, trained and developed in the hope that they pass the command selection. Unsurprisingly there are some who don’t make the cut, they are then given further coaching and development and the success rate is very high. Just this last couple of weeks I know of several, either 6 or 8 FO’s who have gone through the sim and are now in the LHS doing their line training, including the first of our Pilot Apprentices
To jump ship so as to speak to Jet2, given my recent understandings of upgrades, or lack of them

The first pilot apprentice command upgrade has already happened in fact. The individual has passed their final line check and is flying on the line after six years at Jet2, including 12-18 months on the pilot apprentice scheme.

Thanks for the correction, I didn’t know that he was already through his line training and on the line, but I see he has been done and dusted for over a month now,. Doesn’t seem like 2 minutes since I did his LST when he first joined.
