Hainan, China Southern or Air China Cargo?

Hi everyone. I have to make a choice here. I am currently Capt. on B737 and would like to know if anyone is currently in the Hainan NTR B787 Program, or China Southern or Air China Cargo B777 NTR. It would be great to get some first hand experience in the different airlines I mention. I have heard that China Southern might be the best choice if going to China but the others have a higher pay. It would be great if someone could give me a first hand opinion based on personal experience.
Many thanks!! Happy Landings

Pass selection for all three first, see how you get on. At selection you'll meet other candidates as well as recurrent sim guys who will help you decide. Not being in any way disrespectful but assuming that you'll pass all of them and then have a 'choice' is a very large assumption on your part. Please do not take that the wrong way as these threads can sometimes descend into a slanging match and I've no intention of disrespecting you, there's a high failure rate. This can be down to many factors outside of your control. Also the medical can be a total lottery so I'd pass all that stuff first and see what your options are after. Best of luck dude and welcome to the party! Ps.. Get the atpl stuff now and get cracking, I've heard they've changed it recently and it's a toughie.

Thanks Biggusdickus for your post. I am certainly not assuming that I will pass any of the interviews but if I do so, I wanna make sure I did it for the right airline and thats my whole question. It is my understanding that once I have applied for a certain airline and I start the process and I do my medical I cannot go to another airline unless I get a letter of release and that might take some time. So to be honest your post was not of much help, but thanks anyway. Happy Landings!

Dude I'm trying to help you. Wrong about the tie down, that only occurs once you sign a contract, until then you are free to do what you want. Things change here rapidly, local Chinese pilots are even moving company (after some major hassle) but the point is that they are doing it. There is also a lot of misinformation on this site about working in China, I suspect from those that didn't like it here or have failed selection. It definitely doesn't suit everyone. By doing the selection process at each airline you are interested in you will meet others that work there and will get a much better idea of what you want to do. Am not being a smart arse but I am sick to death of ex colleagues saying things like 'I might consider going there' etc. Pass the selection, pass the caac check, then talk. It takes a lot of balls to come here. Pm me if you need any help.
