A320 pressurization at Leh airport
Has anyone flown A320 into Leh airport which is 10628ft elevation? I want to know how the auto - pressurization works for such flight.
suppose, flight is Delhi (777ft) to Leh (10628ft), cruising at FL 220.
what will be the cabin altitude during cruise? will it be 8000ft or 10628ft?

According to A320 AFM limitations TO and LDG are limited to 9200 ft.
Also, with relation to your question the FCOM states in DSC-21-20-30 P1/4 (aircraft systems - air conditioning / pressurisation / ventilation - Automatic Pressure Control Mode - Cruise (CR)): During cruise, the controller maintains cabin altitude at the leve-off value, or at the landing field elevation, whichever is higher.
So conclusion: you shouldn't operate to that airfield you mention, and in case you did the pressurisation system would keep the cruise pressurisation at 10628 ft.
At least this is how I understand it.

There are special modifications for aircraft that operate into high altitude airports. They include changes in pressurization and also passenger oxygen mask deployment logic.
I remember flying one A320, which had been modified this way by previous operator. However, since we never operated to hi elev airports, I don't know exactly how it worked.

During cruise phase the automatic pressure controller will maintain the normal cabin altitude (near max. differential pressure), even if that is lower than the landing elevation. After commencing descend _and_ switching to descend phase, cabin altitude will eventually start to climb.
