Curious diversion

I just saw a BA 737 approaching Biggin Hill and on checking it seems to be kosher, BA2759 from Amsterdam diverted to BQH from LGW. I wasn't aware that Biggin had become a viable alternative for Airliners. Anyone know why etc ?

BA2759 isn't due to depart from Amsterdam until 09:25 UK time (about 10 minutes ago).

G-DOCF does not have ADS-B so its position is determined by FR24 using MLAT, which can be out of whack by a few km.

Combined with FR24's aggressive new route-updating algorithm ( which dispenses with human common sense ) this results in all sorts of nonsense.

Did you know that several TNT Stansted-rostered freighter routes actually commence from Biggin Hill? Of course they don't, but FR24 sees them low near Biggin and puts 2 + 2 together...

Probably a linkspammer; signed up on other forums around the same time. e.g. mql5.com and ytmnd. On thebuddybots doing the same repost method in Korean. Only spent a minute on it, so there may be errors in the details.

There is only one SpringHeeledJack sir! However, this curious reposting of a thread I started has allowed the overuse of the Smilie by certain posters

For those of an IT bent, why has this thread been copied by whomever, who has joined up to pprune, and then duplicated within the forum ? It doesn't seem to make any sense as there's seemingly little to gain

I'm still not much the wiser mr bushfiva. Is this a person or a bot ? What does a linkspammer gain from this exercise ? A mal-intentioned redirection ?

In this case, it looks like the group are promoting an on-line movie streaming site, using mlq5 as the unwitting gatekeeper. Perhaps first posters on PpRune don't get to put links in their posts. This ID registered on some 40 sites yesterday, with varying degrees of success. The group has posted maybe 2400 to 10,000 links in the past few days that have been indexed.
