what are the rules for jumpseat riding?
hello,
my company just chartered a 737 out of hamburg for late february to get us out to a retreat. I think it's going to be a Tuifly.com aircraft but I'm still trying to find out details. I'd like to see if I could get the jumpseat for that flight since I'm charged with filming the trip. This flight is going to be to marrakech.
my question is what regulations/requirements to I have to be aware of? I wouldn't be surprised to learn that this requires some planning given that I don't presently hold any licenses and I would like to be prepared when inevitable someone will try to brush me off.
any ideas?
(again, not US but germany)

Probably best to speak to representatives from the airline as a first port of call to see if anything can be arranged and the right permissions granted as its something that would have to be arranged in advance if it could be done at all.

chiglet, that was in the UK - which is just as bad as the U.S. when it comes to draconian regulations based on nothing less than paranoia.
Krautland, you shouldn't have any problems with TUI, but do contact them first. Best is to try the Ops Director or Chief Pilot.
