A330 CCQ in Asia

Due to my supremely inept googling powers would there be any kind soul out there who might be able to recommend a good quality and decently priced A320 to A330 CCQ course.

Somewhere in Southeast Asia would be more convenient but can travel if necessary. Miami, Toulouse etc always an option but closer to Singapore or Malaysia would be easier on the body and wallet.

Cheers

Depends what country your licence is from, as most training organisations don't have training approvals for every country. The large ones (CAE for example) tend to have to most approvals but also tend to be the more expensive.

I believe Hainan Airlines are offering a CCQ course but you then have to work for them

A330 CCQ

Hello,

I've been doing some research to do a A320-A330 CCQ myself, I am aware your post was dated back in March this year, have you already done it? If so, whereabouts did you get it done?

Cheers

Doing a CCQ yourself without an airline is utterly pointless.

you can join China Airlines(Taiwan) right now as DEC 330, if you have 320 command time, they will CCQ you.

I think BAE is getting at doing a CCQ without any sort of written offer ZFT? I would think it is the same as buying a type rating in the hope someone will give you a job.
A Big risk and potential waste of Money for the Hopeful.

I was originally enquiring as I was looking at a job that if hired, would have to self fund a 330 CCQ. Looks like they have plenty of type rated guys on file so I have stopped pursuing.

What I did find:

The aforementioned mob in BKK do it but wasn't suitable for my licence conversion.

CAE in KUL do it but wanted nothing short of $17K USD. Absolute ripoff and still need to find accom.

2 places in Miami for about $7500 USD. I would have gone there if I was going to do it.
