Air Asia in some trouble

I heard from inside reliable source, that Airasia forgot to renew there AOC and they where operating without a valid AOC recently.. Malaysian DCA was going to suspend operation, Malaysian DCA is not a fan Airasia.. but last minute given them 3months to sort things out.. Uncle Tony appeal to the DCA, finally DCA gave them 6mths, now operating with a temporary license and the DFO has been removed.

Thumbs down

Ya that what I heard pretty much too. Plus Now the DFO fight to not get removed saying dont agree or something. Whats happenin at AAX too now I hear no more foreign Pilots will be approved.
Also when I quit the PD put wrong figure on my Tax form regarding witholding money to be held until Tax clearence letter given but hold back more money. Even my Tax Consultant is unbelieved about this unprofessional behaviour and dont know how to proceed.
they try to hold the salary using excuse of must payback some ridiculous sum of money for a totally unrealistic trg bond that does not follow Malaysian Law. I even offer them back what is legally owed To!
Witholding money for anything else than Tax Bill or EPF payment or socso for local outstanding is also against Malaysian Employment Law it must be agreed in writing and approved by Labour Dept. even so Company must pay remaining salary by last day of service. I even recorded this Lady saying it. Never in 10 years there have I heard this!!! this is 1 example only and I heard too many others from FA's etc. Frankly how can people like this be in charge of a Company,TF Better wake up they will kill it man and thats sad for the real employees simply making a life and trying to keep your dream goin right?.

Scroll down the ********,

The "thirteen million plus Ringgit" guy rambles….

yes Airasia always played with taxes.. never received the annual bonus on 1st Jan.. only in middle of the year.. He use to say it was to protect us from Tax issues.

I see the Airasia is like world economic crisis .. before Airasia was the golden star...nothing could stand in its way.. but now the cracks starting to appear. and only going to get very ugly. The problem with the AOC maybe the push that causes the humpty dumpty to fall ...

Humpty Dumpty sat on a great wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

Grrr

regarding the Tax I dont mind spilling this one. In Firefly they had a letter from the Ministry of Finance allowing employees to not pay tax on allowances but only basic salary. Initially they had to pay tax on everything but Eddy fought for them cos MAS had the same and they got tax rebate etc.
I ask the Payroll girl at AK and got letter back saying you dont pay tax on allowances and when I ask she get P##s off and say she cant show a letter like Firefly had. My Tax consultant warn me if I get audit I may get giant bill lucky I got letter from there payroll saying allowances arent taxable.

"The tale of shrinking tower and reach of Air Asia"

Across town in parties and social dos, Malaysians are still laughing at Tony Fernandes for getting the egg thrown to his face due to rapid approval and Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Razak’s support on upcoming Malindo Airways launch recently.

That is not withstanding the fact the Malaysia Airlines-Air Asia ‘share-swap’ inked August last year was over turned on Labour Day. It was Prime Minister Najib’s gift to the Malaysia Airlines’ work force, who were solid up-at-arms with so many Malaysians against Fernandes’s ‘control’ over the national carrier.

Recently, Malaysia Airlines celebrated its 40th anniversary. To many of the workforce, the BOD without Fernandes is something to be thankful.

Then again October 2012 would be a ‘Dark October’ for Fernandes.

It is believed that Air Asia has been allocated a plot of land in the vicinity of the new KLIA2. Rumours are circulating about Air Asia building their headquarters on the plot of land. They wanted to stamp their mark.

Part of that rumour is that Fernandes wanted a 10 storey building. Building plans were submitted and waiting from comments from relevant authorities. It should be a pride for Air Asia, and a personal trophy for Fernandes.

It is also believed Department of Civil Aviation’s (DCA) comment to the approving authority for the proposal of the 10 story building to be rejected. It was way too tall to be so close proximity, particularly the intruding into the operations of the KLIA2 new air control tower. It was also rumoured that Fernandes’s reaction to this “Tell them to build the control tower taller”. In all likeliness, this statement could not be possible for a award winning corporate leader to utter such childish words.

So, rumour has it that a new proposal was submitted for a five storey complex. However, to suit the new proposal, they wanted more land to accommodate the building.

Now, the situation has become like how famous Malay proverbs are frequently repeated to best describe the situation; ‘Belanda dapat tanah‘ and/or ‘Bagi betis nak peha‘. They simply wanted more and win at any situation. This very much reflect the attitude, which is coming very apparent lately.

However, that is not as sensational as this other rumour. The market is buzzing about the story that Air Asia received a very stern letter from DCA with regards to their operations.

Apparently, the alleged DCA technical audit report dated 26 September had these findings:
1.0. ‘Flight Following’ which is the Communications between Flight Operations and pilots are flawed. Issues raised have not been addressed properly

2. There are failures detected in the Director of Flight Operations discharging his duties:
2.1. It is believed that the operations manual has not been updated
2.2. The execution of the flight operations is not in accordance to their manual

3.0. There is a management system failure where the lower graded staff not executing their task in accordance to the flight operations manual

It was said DCA recommended the Air Asia’s Flight Operations and Director of Flight Operations be reviewed and Replaced!

As such, it was said in certain quarters that on 1 October DCA only renewed Air Asia’s Airlines Operation Certified (AOC) for six months. It will be reviewed only after all the issues have been addressed and resolve.

Air Asia should quickly mitigate all these. If their Flight Operations people are not the right people, then they have to review the team as per the said DCA recommendations. All these got to be implemented very quickly, as Flight Operations is the heart and cardiovascular system of any air carriers.

Most importantly, offer the right explanation to all stakeholders.

The confidence is at stake. This is not about Fernandes, even though he has been very a pain in everyone’s neck for quite a bit. It is about air travel via the most promising and award winning low cost carrier in the world.

IS THIS ALL TRUE?

Airasia has always been in trouble. But with all the greedy politicians and connected elite in Malaysia kissing The "Fat One's" posterior waiting for the big and bigger pay offs he has been able to get away with financial genocide.

But now all the lies and broken promises have caused a certain amount of embarrassment to the socialites.

"Hell hath no fury as an UMNOcrat scorned. "

Wooblah.

Devil sewer hands at work?

Notwithstanding the crappy flt ops structure and the dimwit nature of the dfo in AK, there is speculation amongst those who know about the rats over there who are manoeuvring into positions. Someone noted that ever since the infamous lato' gstring showed up at AK, things have started to smell even worse. If I am not mistaken, someone did warn on this forum that guys at AK had better watch out once that kondehless fiend gets into AK. The recent going ons are showing up the hidden, stealthy machinations of that sewer snake.

Things look that way, Mat. Keep hearing from certain quarters that the scheming and weaseling had begun about a year ago during the initial proposal of the MAS-AK share swap deal. The slithering and writhing had been done, it's now that the fangs are out. Sigh........

AirAsia X Bhd , the medium haul budget carrier of AirAsia
Bhd , is offering for sale 790.12million shares or 33.3% of the company in
an initial public offering (IPO) that will utilise proceeds to reduce bank
borrowings and for capital expenditure.
The IPO will comprise 592.59 million new shares and 197.53mil existing
shares, with the new shares representing 75% of the IPO proceeds while the
remainder of the proceeds will go to its promoters.
Reuters reported that the IPO, expected to debut by January, was expected
to raise about US$250mil (RM750mil) for AirAsia X.
Based on Reuters ' own calculation, the total IPO of 790.12 million shares
could be worth 97 sen per share.
However, AirAsia X has given no information on pricing, size of the listing
or a timeframe for the IPO. The par value of the shares is at 15 sen a piece,
and the price of the IPO will only be fixed after a book building exercise, for
which the dates were not disclosed in the document.
Meanwhile, Bernama quoted chief executive officer Azran Osman-Rani as
saying that the company submitted the proposal to the Securities
Commission few days ago and expected to receive the nod by middle of
next month.
“We are expecting to get the approvals by mid-December and if everything
goes well, we hope to be listed by early next year,” he told reporters at
AirAsia X's fifth anniversary celebrations here yesterday.
In its draft prospectus released yesterday, AirAsia X said it would use more
than half or 55.1% of the proceeds to repay bank borrowings, while 21.5%
for capital expenditure which includes the acquisition of engineering and
aircraft, as well as for expansion of new hubs in the future.
It said the balance 20.2% would be used for working capital and the rest for
listing expenses.
AirAsia X currently serves 12 destinations across Asia, and Australia, and
conducts chartered flights to the Middle East. Operating a fleet of nine
A330-300s and two A340-300s, it represents the largest low cost carrier
wide-body aircraft seat capacity in the Asia Pacific region.
For the six months ended June 30, 2012, the company recorded a net loss
of RM29.1mil on a revenue of RM941.9mil.
On its operations, it said for the six month ended June 30, 2012, revenue
from passenger seat sales on scheduled flights decreased by RM30.3mil, or
about 4.5%, to RM640.4mil for the six months ended June 30, 2012 versus
RM670.70mil in the previous corresponding period.
“This decrease was due primarily to a 4.7% drop in seat capacity in the six
months ended June 30, 2012 (H1, 2012) as compared to the six months
ended June 30, 2011as a result of a reduction in the average number of
aircraft during the period from 11 to 9 caused by the wet lease of our two
A300-340s to third parties during H1, 2012,” it said.
Ancillary revenue including AirAsia Insure increased to RM167.2mil, or
about 20.5%, for H1, 2012 from RM138.7mil a year ago.
“This increase was due primarily to the overall increase in number of
passengers carried in H1, 2012, revisions to our rates relating to certain of
our ancillary products and the introduction of Optiontown as a new ancillary
product,” it said.
AirAsia X said fuel costs decreased 3.5% to RM483.1mil in H1, 2012 from
RM500.7mil a year ago, mainly due to a 6.7% decrease in fuel consumed
in H1, 2012 from a year ago.
For the year ended December 31, 2011, AirAsia X made a net loss of
RM96.7mil on the back of RM1.86bil in revenue.
According to its draft prospectus, its revenue grew from RM230.7mil in
2008 to RM1.9bil in 2011, representing a compounded annual growth rate
of 100.6%.
As at June 30, 2012, it had RM1.369bil of property, plant and equipment,
including RM51.9mil of aircraft engines and RM1.246bil of aircraft frames
and service potential. Post IPO, its promoter and substantial shareholder,
Aero Ventures Sdn Bhd will hold about 34.4% of the company, while second
largest shareholder AirAsia Bhd will hold 12.1%, following with Orix Airline
Holdings Limited with a 7.2% stake.
Besides Tan Sri Tony Fernandes and his partner Datuk Kamarudin Meranun ,
the other board members include former International Trade and Industry
Minister Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz and former Bursa Malaysia Bhd CEO Datuk
Yusli Mohamed Yusof,
It has also appointed ECM Libra Group managing director Lim Kian Onn and
ECM Libra chairman Datuk Seri Kalimullah Masheerul Hassan.
AirAsia X also said it did not have any formal dividend policy, but the board
intends to adopt a progressive dividend policy, subject to factors including
but not limited to its financial performance, cash flow requirements,
availability of distributable reserves and capital expenditure plans.

This piece of crap is always causing trouble wherever he goes...in MAS he signed away the copilots' travel privileges and tried to screw up Rajinder's insurance claims. In Jet Airways, asked to leave due to sexual harassment. In KAL he threw his weight away until someone almost smash him. I don't know what **** he did in Al Wajhfeer and now his posible involvement. This kind of shiity fella should be put to sleep. Period!
