The fire is now up to over 6000 hectares (12000 soccer pitches in my parlance - I had to google it!). No signs of it slowing up but we may get rain tomorrow which will help.

I can see the plume of smoke from my deck. So sad that it has cost a life.

It looks like it'll be a busy year for wildfires as well. Everything is tinder dry and no sign of rain in the near...
