I can see the plume of smoke from my deck. So sad that it has cost a life.
It looks like it'll be a busy year for wildfires as well. Everything is tinder dry and no sign of rain in the near future.

The fire is now up to over 6000 hectares (12000 soccer pitches in my parlance - I had to google it!). No signs of it slowing up but we may get rain tomorrow which will help.
