The 77x order covers both the -8 and the -9. Do the same with the 350 and it has 858 orders. None by EK.

The range. A new one (well they have be around since EK started LAX on the 380) will carry an extra 22t of revenue to LAX than an older aeroplane due to an increase in MTOW and better fuel burn. So...

The better fuel burn and lower weight has nothing to do with RR engs. The majority of the fleet is EA powered.
