The better fuel burn and lower weight has nothing to do with RR engs. The majority of the fleet is EA powered.

don, that's only 10,000 kgs. on a 10hr flight, ¿does that compensate enough the monthly payments on the new ones when the old ones are probably paid off?

Air Show entrance

Folks,
Since the thread was initially about the Air Show..
Does anyone know if there is a way of getting in without having to pay the normal entrance?
There were some mysterious ways on the previous shows, I’d rather spent those 75 bucks on Irish Village discussing Boeing vs Airbus over a few pints...

The range. A new one (well they have be around since EK started LAX on the 380) will carry an extra 22t of revenue to LAX than an older aeroplane due to an increase in MTOW and better fuel burn. So that and the saving in fuel cost would be the difference.

Also some EK pilots think they know more about the actual operating costs than the commercial division. I'm sure those same pilots are managing their millions very well!

You made me laugh with this.

A true aviator , you deserve all 5s in your next PPC for this.

I'm still waiting for the big iPad (EPT) order announcement.

430 aircraft (A320 and A321) ordered today at Dubaï Air Show, in a single contract.

To be allocated to Frontier Airlines (US) JetSMART (Chile) Volaris (Mexico) and Wizz Air (Hungary)

The end of first class on the EK 777 (and likely 787). New premium economy instead.
So the new first class will be a A380 product only.

Intention only for the moment. Nothing signed yet. The guy is 80 (!) , i guess before anything confirmed, he will have joined a lot of 380s on the boneyard ......

It looks like a propaganda lifeline for Airbus, to calm the shareholder for a while.

A "full ceiling height" suite on the 380 would engender more laughter than respect unless you are a Hobbit. It's already a low, under-ventilated hovel and moving the doors up would just amplify the effect.
