At Avalon, I reckon that the RAAF should have simply allowed the kiddies to hold an operational F35A pilot's helmet. For they are really impressive!

(I've heard that they cost around $500k each.)...

Australia buys outrageously expensive but fairly useless military aircraft. Then the Yanks dictate when and where we fly them in our own country.

So is it your claim that RAAF pilots will fly two of our F-35s from USA to Avalon and back...

Surely they wouldn't want one of those rather expensive, single engine jets to risk failing at an air show just now? Coz there's lots of money heading towards the U.S. aerospace industry...
