Cockpit windows on the B787.

The cockpit of the B787 does not have any opening windows, but an escape hatch in the roof.

Exactly the same arrangement can be found on the B747 and on other aircraft types, for example...

Operational history of the B787 battery cell?

It has been mentioned a couple of times on one of the threads discussing the present B787 problems, that the cell (LVP65) has been approved by NASA, ESA and other bodies.

The 787 battery is equipped with 8 cells of type LVP65.

Fwd Bay Ventilation Port

I think that the port is placed adjacent to the bay - far aft in the bay on the L/H side.

I wonder what function it has - looks just like a hole in the skin? Or is it a venturi?...
