If fuel leak is identified but not stopped you...

If fuel leak is identified but not stopped you cannot use cross feed. There is no inter tank transfer but I guess pipeline used is same. Most important thing after leak is identified is LAND ASAP....

Airbus itself was asked this question in 2007....

Airbus itself was asked this question in 2007. Their engineers could not find any reason so they said this line will be removed unfortunately it is 2012 and it is still there. So you have to wait.
