I visited it a few times, but never worked there (it was just called RAE Pyestock when I was there). Give me a day or two, I'll see if I've got any notes about what I saw in my apprentice visits...

Or EFA as I think we called it at the time, I spent a fascinating summer once assisting with wind tunnel testing of a new and still moderately "hush-hush" jet fighter in the 8ft tunnel at RAE...
