I just wonder how much external pressure was put...

I just wonder how much external pressure was put on the FAA especially if the ETOPS rules have not been changed for the aircraft.....wont find me flying in one for a while that is for sure.

Why would they start the APU using the battery...

Why would they start the APU using the battery when starting with the engines running and providing power is the normal way to start an APU.Or if on the ground an Aux Power unit would be connected...
