Good experiences with Pt21 design companies in UK?

Having done quite a lot of banging my head against brick walls recently, has anyone had any good experiences dealing with any UK based Part 21 Design Organisation of late?

I don't think I'm asking for too much - a) respond to e-mails/RFQ's, b) provide an estimate, c) suggest a sensible timescale not measured in years - for a minor mod.

I'd be delighted to hear of any positive recommendations. PM if you'r prefer.

There are several I would steer you clear of but Intertec based at Prestwick and SWS Design Services based in Bristol have both done sterling work for me in the past. PM me for contacts or use t'interweb to search. Vector Aeroospace claim to be competitive but I've yet to use them.

I do not have personal experience but have heard that Aerodac (Sussex) are pretty competent. Used to be headed up by a particularly engaging CAA design surveyor, with whom I did work closely some 20+ years ago; they commenced business when it was clear that the Belgrano was not his cup of tea (!) - VFR
