Just a forum procedural question, but wouldn't an edited update say it had been edited, or do Moderator-Edited updates not provide us that benefit?

Not at all: unless the moderator chose to put a Reason for Editing.

I take it the red amendment is from a moderator who has confirmed that Jake and Cbox were in the same building, possibly being the same person?

This is actually getting better and better. Cbox, please give us some more wisdom.........

The red text is from PPRuNe Towers, super-mod. And, yes, he is quite obviously saying that the posts were coming from the same computer.

Which was apparent even to us dullards.

Hello, Jake.

In light of recent events in the French Alps involving an A320 I would imagine any pilot suffering from severe delusions of grandeur would now be very high up on the authorities people of interest list.

Talk about shooting your own foot off.

First I want to thank the original post on this forum! Next Jake McGoldrick ihas been in the USA working the helicopter industry. I fell victim to his scam and lost much money. The reason I am posting is for anyone who thinks this guy is normal. If he has asked you for work or to go in business with you......Run and contact the FBI. He claims to have worked for Eric Prince as a para military contractor. He claims experience in Bell 412, 212 and other well told lies. I want to make this very clear...He is a liar! He has made his way across the USA. I am shocked how many in this industry have told me he has contacted them with a scam. The document at the opening post is true! It was never overturned and he obtained his license in the USA fraudulently. I felt it important for all out there to know this guy is dangerous in my opinion to our industry. Please make contact with your local law enforcement or state police if you see him. If he is still in this country he needs to be removed!

Amazing story but quite sad if true - almost feel sorry for him if the cause of his delusions were his experiences in the military, but that's cancelled out pretty quickly by the danger he poses to anyone flying with him

Hello, Could you about Jake Mc Goldrick? I do not see how to reply.

Despite what he may tell you, Jake was never employed by any defense contractor to conduct any PMC operations.

. Do you think Jake would intentionally sabatoage a flight and crash? We lost our friend Thursday while taking Jake up on a test flight in my brothers plane. Our friend was a accomplished pilot, flight instructor and military helicopter pilot. Jake told him that he had a Gulf Stream on order. The plane was a Huskey and I do not know details yet but we are suspicious. Please , if you know anything that would give insight , please email. Thank you

Sad for passenger and families but there is some irony

From one of the links (KUTV)

"You know there is a pilot community that is suffering a huge loss from this," Lohrke said.
Having read all 26 Posts below I think some losses were suffered before this tragedy

I don't think he would have intentionally cause a crash.

He was engaged and due to get married in March 2018.

To quote the thread title Beware Jake McGoldrick, and at the risk of appearing sarcastic, I guess we don't have to beware any more.

He has since moved on and is working as a PMC for a major player in that industry, Its all very well to sit and criticize behind a user name and a key board without hearing or taking into account his side of the story.

I will be contacting Jake to make him aware of this thread and further more
if anyone thinks they can or is able to do the job he did and is happy to live in the Congo and West Africa unaided and unarmed then please PM me your CV and I will be happy to consider your application as well as post weekly to the helicopter community on your progress and ability.

Jake has written to us. He assures me his legal team overturned all the findings detailed above. Many thanks for contacting Jake for us Cbox. The IP address suggests you were within feet of him so I'm glad it was a simple task.
PPRuNe Towers
Jake was in contact with me and I was with him in Africa never flew with him as I was a Shorts 330 Pilot but people never complained then so why all the fuss now If he had done a bad job the boss would have not used him so stop slandering Pilot and get on with your own worlds any one doing Special Ops will see that it is hazardous and most people I know including jake need to be left alone unless you know this man

Jake seemed to be a good man as far as I was concerned so if you all have a grievance against him go talk to him face to face not keep sending this out
Be like the 3 wise monkeys and do your own work stop putting this out

That could be difficult since he seems to have shuffled off his mortal coil.

What a terrible tragedy - the loss of Nicholas Thomas in that FW crash.
I wonder if Mr Thomas really knew the background of the apparent Schizophrenic sitting next to him?
RiP Mr Thomas.
Eerie.
