VF,

Pic 4012, been there, very high...like 12,000 feet, in a car !? The clouds were 6,000 feet below us.

Superb pics of Bhutan.

Hey VF. Just been watching "Everest Rescue" on cable TV here in Bangkok. First episode and I missed part of it as well, but without giving away family secrets what do you know about the program?

Jason the pilot features a lot, but a couple of local boys doing a good job, including an impromptu medivac. (no idea where the Heidata News bit comes from)

Hi Farang,

I too am recording Everest rescue. Im good friends with VF and fortunately for him he's not involved.

The series gives an amazing insight to high altitude flying but its typical Foxtel or National geographic sensationalism with similar rhetoric to other aviation programs they cover.

Apart from the rubbish its very entertaining and the scenery is just wow!....and gives me a better appreciation for where my buddy works.

Hello belly tank. Yes, having previously had experience in Australia with egotistical media types, it would appear that those pilots have a good handle on what can and cannot be done safely. Very impressive!

Too high up for me, I am scared of heights! Strange, used to fly around with the door off all day, but even some video on the TV has me quivering. Guess it has something to do with both being sat down, and in control. Cheers
