A320 fuel pump Tripped Cb
I stumbled on a remark by someone unknown in internet , referring to the A320 and stating Cb reset of tripped fuel pump Cb is prohibited.
While I would my self be reluctant to attempt such reset , I never officially heard of such prohibition for the A320 ( I think this is official for the Boeing )
I did a little digging to official Airbus sources and found only this Airbus maintenance directive ( please if you bother to read it , read it all )

So if you read it all , the directive does not restrict resetting the wing tank cbs in the air , but it cautions not to do that on the ground , unless certain things are removed .
From any of you who have been flying the Airbus , did you ever hear of an explicit prohibition of resetting tripped fuel pump cbs in any phase ?

You are not allowed to reset any fuel pump CB on any aircraft type, this includes engineering staff without performing checks to determine the reason for the trip first.

Would you really want to have power going to a faulty Fuel pump buried in a tank of fuel???
If its shorting out, you could have a fire, not a very good thing to have.

It is quite strange that Airbus does not forbit this in the QRH ( it lists those cbs / computers that should never be reset )
Further more the maintenance directive sort of excludes this from happening in the air . Even more strange is that it does not prohibit it for the center tanks .
It make sense to play it safe and not attempt such a reset , the question is if it makes so much sense then why doesn't Airbus adopt such conservative attitude and word its directive in this manner you read above instead of an explicit all around prohibition?

Depends which model of A320. I'm sure later models only have jet pumps in the centre tanks.so a cb would be for a valve only I suspect.

Interesting, i believe it always said that in ours, but that might have been a company modification. Anyway, we are only allowed to reset those C/Bs in the air that are mentioned in a reset procedure for in the air usage. Not any other one.
