LNAV/Vnav approach offset arrival
Hi
If your not using the FDs then turn them off.
But on a VOR approach with a big offset would you still use them based on that the VNAV guidance is still giving sensible and very good information to 50'.
Thank you

Are you going to bank the aircraft to align it up with the runway at 50'? If so, then im never getting on your aircraft dude. VOR/RNAV/RNP etc are all non precision approaches, once visual and ready, recycle the FD's and look out the window.

We always worked on the principle that if the flight directors are not giving good guidance in both lateral and vertical then switch them off. In fact we once had a sim detail where we practiced V1 cuts with flight directors off, there was a marked improvement in the performance of the pilots flying the maneuvre due to the distraction of the flight directors being removed.
