A320 MAX CLB after flex takeoff?
On the A320 family of aircraft (CFM56), is it possible to select MAX CLB thrust for improved fuel efficiency following a flex takeoff?
I was under the impression that selecting LVR CLB at thrust reduction altitude should not result in a thrust increase. However on a recent easyJet flight, I noticed that a few seconds after flap retraction, the engine thrust note increased. Is this a customisable option within the software or pilot selectable?

MAX CLB thrust rating on the CFM A320 increases passing Mach 0.30. This to allow for greater Flex reductions to be achieved whilst ensuring that MAX CLB < FLX.
Hope this helps.
