Radio License Exam(english) in Germany or Austria
Hello fellow Aviators,
I'm a Canadian ATP licensed pilot in the process of converting to EASA. My Canadian Radio License issued by Industry Canada is non transferable. Is it possible to write an english version of the radio license exam in either Germany or Austria??
Thank you very much,
Petr

Hey Petr,
Check out this link: http://www.bundesnetzagentur.de/Shar...cationFile&v=5
the english translation is on the 2nd page.
Did you have to do an exam for the Canadian Radio License? If so, it may be accepted by the Germans and you do not need to do any kind of testing.

Yes, you can. You'll get an AZF(German radio license with IFR privileges).
However, if you wish also a radio license for German language BZF II(VFR), you still need a practical exam which is very simple if you speak German.
Good luck!
