FAA PPL from 1998
Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,
when I was a ab-initio student pilot for Lufthansa in 1998 we made our FAA PPL in Goodyear AZ. Since those years I never used my PPL.
2 Questions:
1) Is that thing still valid?
2) I lost that piece of paper, where could I get a new/a dublicate?
Anyone with the same problem?
Thx in advance for the help...

You can check the airman records to make sure that your original details are on file.
You can then apply to replace your lost certificate with a new credit card style one.
Then, once you've renewed your medical and completed a flight review, you should be fully valid to fly.

Excellent! Thank you very much. Found myself...
Any idea about how I can change some details on that license?
My adress and my nationality for example? Both have changed since than.
I do have a JAA class one medical. Any idea if I can use that one to rent an airplane. I also found old medical class third which was issued in 9/1997. Is that one expired?
Many thaks again....

I think you will likely have to book a visit to a FSDO to obtain a temporary certificate if you can't use the on-line forms. Did you explore my 2nd link above?
Unless your certificate was issued under part 61.75; i.e. based on an existing foreign licence, you will need a current FAA medical of Class 3 or higher. Certainly one issued in 1997 will not be valid!
