Perhaps its a continuing problem from this e-mail I received a few days ago

Notice of planned maintenance.

As an administrator of your Airchunk group we are writing to let you know that on Sunday 24th January 2016 between 0900hrs and 1200hrs GMT the Airchunk team and I need to perform some routine maintenance on the servers.

This will involve some disruption of service during the above times.

If, after these times, you are unable to access the website please restart your computer and your broadband router.

If you have any difficulties accessing the service after 24 hours please email us ([email protected]) to let us know.

Kind Regards,

Abe & the Airchunk team

And here is the answer. Good customer communication in my view

Notice of planned maintenance.

As an administrator of your Airchunk group we are writing to let you know that the Data Centres that host the Airchunk servers suffered a major outage yesterday afternoon. Their staff have been working through the night to bring these data centres back online.

This outage is affecting thousands of websites and servers throughout the UK not just Airchunk.com.

Obviously this kind of outage is totally unacceptable and we will be investigating why and how this has happened and what assurances the data centre can give us that this won't happen again. If they fail to give us an acceptable response we will be moving to different data centres.

In the meantime I sincerely apologise for this interruption and hope to have normal service resumed as soon as possible. Thank you for your support and patience.

Kind Regards,

Abe & the Airchunk team

All fixed now and normal service has been resumed. I switched to a new data centre and also made more changes to help protect anyone using the system in future. The old data centre is still offline!!!

Sorry for the interruption but rest assured I am working hard on making sure this doesn't happen again.

Airchunk: a chunk of time in the air, ergo Airchunk!

Cheers,

Abe

Good work Abe, all my appointments are still present.

Also, I've been a data centre engineer in the past when these types of problems have reared their ugly head; not pleasant for anyone involved.
