PPL exams under two separate states...

Hi all,

This is a kind of follow on for a question I asked regarding study time for PPL exams a few days ago, some of you may remember. My query this time is whether a student must sit all of the written exams in one country, or whether he/she can take say, 4 in the UK and then the remaining amount in the US? I read on somebody's post that every exam must be taken under the same State, is this true?

Thank you in advance for any replies.
