Just reading about that in the latest bulletin. I suppose they can only tell when the text actually transmitted, not when it was written or when the send button was pressed.

Implications pretty clear...I guess they are just not allowed to state it.

Indeed - the AAIB investigate the accident, it will be up to the coroner to determine cause of death
