nose wheel pilot
powered-flight pilot
PPL pilot
SEP pilot
VFR pilot
upside-up-flying pilot
fixed-wing pilot
subsonic pilot
any pilot

All equally boring rather than funny to me. But to each his/her own.

I wouldn't care to comment on their pilots, but I've yet to see a good looking nosewheel light aircraft (so Concorde doesn't count - and anyway, it's got a tailwheel. Two, actually!).

Indeed; this context would also provide an (IMHO much more plausible) alternative explanation for the angry look on her face: Maybe he told her that he flies nosewheel planes as he finds them more handsome, which led her to deduce a hidden insult concerning her own appearance.

Tailwheel pilots are known to slip it in gently.
