ANZ Hiring

Does anyone have any idea how the hiring is currently working out for Air NZ Domestic / or Mainline Fleets? Is sounds like they're doing well which is great to see!

Jet fleet is about 70 pilots over the top, with no hiring going on. The new aircraft arriving are replacements for aircraft already in the fleet.

The turboprop division is being filled by internal transfers at the moment. The beech fleet is being reduced while the ATR fleet is being expanded.

The big hiring boom stopped about 2 or 3 months ago and is unknown when it will start up again.

If you interviewed in March I would expect that you would be starting in the new year.

From previous experience they would have told you what company that you would be going to, and then it would be up to the individual company to contact you with dates etc.

Are you guys/gals moving on from part 135 (or bigger) gigs?
I think I've missed the air nz boom so best to start looking smaller operations when I hit 750TT.

Waiting

I was on a recent RTG, and was told I wouldn't be starting until 2015. Have you guys had any updates on possible ground courses?

From what I've heard the lowest is in the vicinity of 700tt, could be lower though.
