Just a quick one for you gays that seem you understand a lot about this topic. My case: I hold an ICAO ATP with a type rating endorsement.
I've already passed the written FAA ATP, so: can I have the practical test in a class D sim and endorse the FAA ATP with the type rating?
I did the initial training in flight safety USA about 4 years ago, but all the recurrents were done at my company's facility outside USA. BTW I am 1000+ captain on type.
I am asking not because of needing the type rating on the FAA ATP, just because I guess it could be almost the same money in flying a Seminole 4 hours + examination and studying the airplane limitations that already known the current a/c and just sit in the sim and fly the check.

The short answer is yes, but - -. As pointed out above for an ATP with a type rating there has to be a record of ground and flight training by an authorized instructor. In order to used a sim for training it has to be part of a 121, 135 or 142 training program. They all have set syllabuses you would have to fit into. You should contact the training center you plan to use and ask them. They should have a short type rating course. Probably a few more days than the recurrent class but as you say, easier than getting back into a light twin.

FAA ATPL
Please I would appreciate if someone can help me on this.
I have an Indian ATPL with Boeing 737 NG endorsement. My total time on the plane is more than 6000.
I would like to do the FAA ATPL with Boeing endorsement.
What are the new rules with regards to the same. I was in touch with Pan Am Academy in florida and High Power in Dallas, but nobody is sure about anything.
Embry Riddle does not reply.
I have a FAA CPL with multi engine and instrument, No Boeing Rating.
Can Someone please guide me with step by step procedure for the same.
Also I would appreciate if someone can provide me with an email address of any person that I can contact for information.
Any school that is doing the course.

You'll need (now) to first take the multiengine ATP written. A prerequisite for this is a specific "airline training" ground and simulator program. This applies even though you apparently have some airline experience. After you have this and pass the written, you take a B737 sim program to add your type.
Not much is yet published about the airline training course. I'd contact here

The regulation is 61.156. The steps to take are:
1. Complete the ATP Certificate Training Program
2. Pass the new MEL ATP written test
3. Complete a 737 training program
4. Pass an ATP checkride in a 737 sim
The only problem is currently there is only one approved ATP CTP. Embry Riddle. And it is not a stand alone program. To receive the ATP CTP certification from E-R you have to complete their 4 year degree program. Higher Power is working on getting a stand alone program approved but there is no way to guess when the FAA will approve it. Until their program is approved, they won't be able to give you any information.

Faa single engine atp
im in a situation where i need to have evidence of having " Completed written ATPL exams from either an FAA or EASA approved testing centre". im flying SE ac here and i dont need atp for next 3-4 years. I just need to satisfy the above mentioned requirement of my CAA without spending much . so i was thinking faa single engine atp knowledge test would be best for me but i couldnt find much . now im not sure if some thing like se atp is there in faa.

Yes. The old ATP airplane written test is gone. There are now two tests, ATM and ATS. The ATM requires a training course before you take the test. You can study on your own and take the ATS when you feel ready.
