Ok so after the financial results are announced we could expect to see these new ‘higher salaries’ published officially for new joiners.

25% seems too good to be true but sometimes the sheer necessity of supply and demand dictates things I suppose.

I agree, thats way too optimistic. Last year the salary increase was around 3% despite high inflation and other factors. The bonus might be good but dont forget that the financial target of the previous year was only 1/4 of what is for this period. There must be something good cooking in the oven but i think wont be too high…

From a very high up : 16 weeks profit share, 10 week bonus and 25% pay increase for pilots ( 5% rest of the company). Also trainer pay increase will be “ substantial “
That person also said something about flexible working patterns, but had no details .
what do you do?

Forgive me for arguing semantics, and yes, I know this is a rumour site, but isn't the Profit Share the same thing as the 'Bonus' ? Open to correction, but if so, how does anyone expect to get both? And a 25% rise for pilots? Come on guys, that's stretching the imagination even on a rumour site!

No bonus and profit share are 2 separate things

It actually makes sense though still expect less.

Profit share is based on the criteria (assuming we make 17-18 billion profit this year and the target was just under 12 billion, so 6 billion over. Last year we were 8 billion over target. 16 weeks would make sense compared to last year. If they paid 26 weeks as pure profit share last years 24 weeks wouldn’t look right.

The bonus I assume would be some kind of Chairman’s award/thank you due to the volume of profit this year, i guess it would also avoid having to pay multiples to higher management unlike profit share.

Omlette - agree completely with your description of profit share. It has been that way since the profit share was first paid, donkeys years ago. As far as the 'bonus' goes though, and I stand to be corrected, I have never heard of anything like that being paid, at least not to pilots. There have always been rumours about Senior Management grades being given a 'bonus' for achieving some departmental target or other, but it has never been formally acknowledged or confirmed as far as I know. For pilots, the terms profit share and bonus have pretty much been used interchangeably.

good way to explain
only that the profit share is depending on a target of the financial department (this number is not shared, therefore you never know what the outcome will be.)
so if they where expecting 17bAED and net was 18 the difference is only 1 to share
typically the set target is higher than the numbers made in the previous year and they were set before the Gaza crises

Is that a guess or what Emirates have paid out? That would be very impressive if true.

Reading the source and giving him some credit, chances are close to zero.

The profit share target was published in the last annual report:

Our Group profit target for 2023-24 is set at AED 11.9 billion

The amount made from in the first 6 months was:

Emirates’ revenue shot up by 19% to AED 59.5 billion, and its profit by 134% to AED 9.4 billion. dnata’s revenue increased by 27% to AED 9.3 billion with profit climbing by 200% to AED 709 million.

So target 11.9b, first half made 10.1b.

Second half is traditionally stronger than the first.

Anyone knows if they are going to lower the experience for boeing/bus type rated guys? What a f**King joke asking for 2k on a turboprop and 1k bus+2k over 42T for the jet guys, WHAT A JOKE.

WhatShortage

If you don't like it, don't get so stressed and if you are there, leave, or otherwise do not bother applying if you dislike it so much.

I can see you would be fun to work with, and CRM would sure be a challenge ....................

Different entry levels, different training syllabus. Been done before and proven to be a success.Ask all the `QL guys on the LHS.Therefore the inherent snobbery by P2F SSTR jet guys toward their TP fellow professional has been neutered and the playing field leveled.
Low time type rated jet candidates can be a bigger risk that experienced TP guys depending on your provenance, but try telling that to someone like you. Go away and get the jet hours for that entry level. Having a jet rating you were able to pay for doesn't make you a more skilled pilot. Not having the hours to apply does however mean you are still wet behind your little jet ears. Go cut your teeth some more and get a return on daddy's money. That's the entitlement joke here.

I hope you do realise that the bonus amount offered is related to how desperate they are with recruitment. Word does get around very quickly all around the world. They do not pay bonuses to say thank you from the bottoms of their kind hears.
