Applying to the ME with a criminal record

Hello all. Sensitive subject here. I am interested in applying for a job as a pilot in the Middle East but, well you guessed it, I have a criminal record. It's a fairly serious conviction from an incident that happened about 14 years ago. By some miracle, I've still maintained employment as an airline pilot, successfully over the last 8 years between two airlines, both who were made aware of my record prior to being hired. Also, I have successfully renewed my security clearance multiple times without any issues. I can't however fly to the USA. So that rules out the long haul carriers.

I'd be interested in narrowbody flying. Probably a stupid question, but I assume all airlines require police records? Or do some not ask for it?

I'd appreciate any advice and yes, I will take everything with a grain of salt. Gracias friends

it's generally NOT the airline that does this type of research, they do the licenses aspect, it's the CID, and or immigration department that does this end of the background check while preparing one for the residence permit..." don't disclose it" probably has no bearing, as all these checks are completed prior to them inviting you to join...in any event, lying on an official document is likely to have extremely undesirable consequences if/when discovered..very irresponsible comment
