Yes the numbers are coming.
But not the quality/experience level that is needed.

So many "2 stripes" at the training college right now.

Gotta face facts. We are now the Ryanair/Air Asia of long haul.
Won't be long before we become the long haul Eagle Jet

I truly don't know how many successful candidates are coming through and then eventually accepting the job, however...

During my medical about a month ago, the nurse taking my (increasing) measurements etc. told me he had not done a candidate initial medical for about 3 weeks now....and over the past few months the amount of candidate (pre-initial) medicals he had done has dropped dramatically.
Read into that what you will........

I also flew with a brand new FO from the turboprops recently.
He was a good operator (good situational awareness), and he mentioned that him and a lot of his turboprop mates are planning on staying here just for a couple years to get some big jet time, then move on elsewhere......
Read into that what you will.....

Eternity.

Don't think it's a "few years".... remember there is a little thing called a 5 year bond worth about what... 50K USD or some such!

So after three years what is the buyout cost?

so after three years what is the buy out cost?
At around three years, your End of Service Benefit should roughly cover the cost of your training bond.

But there are many personal costs you should also factor in.

Eternity. I believe new joiners don't do their medical when at dubai any more. They also have to pay for their compass testing, and get themselves to a testing centre prior to coming to Dubai.
