Question EK destination to Trivandrum (TRV)

Hello,

I'm new to this forum, I've been reading it for quite some time now decided I join the crib too. Only months since I've joined EK and I'm with the 330/340 fleet. The next month, looking to try out the destinations, there is not much of a choice but I came across Trivandrum in South India. Since its not really a top bid, and I've heard from others that its not such a relaxing flight because like other (I've been to Calicut many times and Cochin) its a night flight that departs around 9.45 or 2.55am to TRV. Since it being a 3 man crew, I'm augmented for that.

Has any of the guys done the TRV/VOTV turnaround? Is it that bad? Any advice, and how the place and airport is, ATC in Calicut I have a problem with trying to understand fast talking Indians.. how is everything at TRV?

GABI, LIDO. Read them then get as much rest as you can before the flight. Ask the same questions you've posted here once you're airborne to your fellow crew members. I'm sure they'll be delighted to fill you in with all of their night turn experience to Incredible India.

As for fast talking Indians............12 years on and I'm still asking that question!

Thiruvananthapuram

Always good to at least be able to spell the place you're flying to, even if you don't know exactly where it is!

Got into TRV earlier this morning.

Saw an EK 777-200 ... usually they fly in their 330's.

Avid,

The city is called Thrivuathaparapar, Thrivanthrepur, Thrive... The airport is called Trivandrum. Previous spelling is OK.
